Sleepless Handicraft.

Sometimes I have trouble sleeping. Yesterday was one of those times. I then have options, most of which will keep me awake rather than get me sleepy. One thing I've found to work well is to create something. I don't care what it is. Sometimes it's drawing, sometimes I'll quietly write a song, sometimes I'll write something.
This time I made a stove.

Second book's name, 's what that title means. It's gonna be the first proper book, and I'm still, well, let's just say that how it'll be published is still well in the air. Regardless, here's the titles of the stories appearing in it so far.
Writing and what I'm doing about it.

I scanned in two recent stories I did (Notebook, March 21st and Tidy, April 3rd) and let Jaron read them. His comments were painfully positive, something I really needed. Especially since I haven't actually shared any of my last 5-6 stories with anyone yet.

As those of you who are Dutch or know anything about the Netherlands (or you read Scruffbutt
) should know, yesterday was Queen's Day. Now, I don't really care about talking about that all that much, but there is one thing about this Queen's Day that's different from all before it.
I actually bought something at the flea market, and I'm loving it.
"Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn", my ass.

Life's been good. Really, really good, even. To be entirely honest, it's been fantastic. Wait, that still sounds like an understatement. It's magnificently, amazingly good.
Yeah, that works.
And, now, I shall explain in detail where this entirely non-sarcastic outlook on life is based on. Yup, no sarcasm. You can believe me. Uhuh.
Something I've wanted to do for years.

And it's finally arrived :D

Scruffbutt! My own online webcomic :D After doing 3 24-hour comics, I think I've got both the basic skills to do the art as well as a general idea about what's funny and what's not. Of course I'm going to "miss the plank" from time to time, but hey, I've only just started.
Thanks to the Hivemind for inspiration to do something with my ideas! :D
Pixel Day I: Not a Mockup.

I didn't get around to do the mockup I wanted to do (it was "Emo Vigilante: The Quickening") but I did do some pixelation work. It's not terribly well-done, but meh. Better something crap than nothing, right?
Image after the moar.
I want to improve my pixeling skills.

And therefore I want to propose the following. Every week, on Monday, I'll add a new mockup of a game (a mockup is a fake screenshot, much like what the game would eventually look like if it were finished). The maximum resolution of these will be 320x240, meaning it'll be painfully oldskool.
Red Hot Crystal Yak In: Nuclear Destruction

That's the current one. Next week I want to do another one, and that's where y'all come in. Suggest good names from The Video Game Name Generator
and I may very well choose one of those. If no suggestions are made, I'll just pick one myself, but it'd be more fun to have suggestions from others :)
Thanks in advance!

As mentioned in my previous post, my blogging quotient is only marginally above 4, and I want to keep it at 4 at the very least. But due to some busy times I've been having lately I've fallen prey to the horrible "sleep where you fall"-syndrome, and I've just had no time to do any blogging.
Which sucks.
My Blogging Quotient compared to Others.

The Blogging Quotient is amount of posts divided by the months spent posting them. I've decided that the optimal minimum is around 2. 1 is marginally doable, which implies one post a month. 4 is good, since it gives your visitors an average of 1 post every week (though not chronologically, but on average). Anything above is just fucking insane.
Why I call it fucking insane should be obvious after the break, where I compare the Blogging Quotient of some of my friend's weblogs. One of them is fucking, FUCKING insane.
